Esther Barsella MFA, M.Sc., BA

Esther has been working professionally with individuals and businesses for over 30 years. She has an extensive background across a variety of treatment settings including private practice, inpatient mental health, oncology patients and their families, crises, and transitions (divorce, loss), trauma in children and adults, adolescent girls in distress and at risk. The modalities she uses are both individual and group therapy.

Esther completed her Bachelor's Degree in Educational Counseling, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, then her Master's Degree in Business (M.Sc.) specialized in Organizational Psychology at Tel Aviv University. She then completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Short-Term Psychotherapy. She completed her MFA in Creative Writing at Rutgers University.

Esther is a fully licensed and certified Israeli Social Worker and Psychotherapist.

She views the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist and considers the clients as the experts of their lives. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, clients can explore their primary interests, access their inner strengths, develop goals, and promote change.
